Resolved Question: Discount prepaid SIM card in Melbourne?

I'm flying to Melbourne tomorrow, arriving Tuesday morn, with an unlocked quad band mobile phone. What is the best place in Melbourne to find a SIM card for my Nov. 11-Dec 6 stay? I'm an infrequent phone user, I don't expect to use more than about 100 minutes, and I don't expect to be returning in the foreseeable future. For comparison, in Vienna, the best place to receive a prepaid SIM card is in the Hofer (grocery store) chain where there's a 10 euro charge for the SIM plus some amount for minutes you should pay for, which are 5 cents per minute within Austria (a great deal as far as I'm concerned). What I'm really after is where I should go in Melbourne to receive this SIM, once my plane arrives. I'll be somewhat skeptical about recommendations to go into the major carrier shops since they almost never have anything economical for a short term user. Shuratio: thanks, that's the type of info I was looking for. Would you be able to give me an idea of the price per minute I should expect for calls I make within Australia for either or both of those two SIM cards you mentioned? Oh, and I'll be in the vicinity of Market road. Here's the summary I was looking for: There are 4 main Australian carriers: Telstra (the oldest with widest coverage), Optra, Vodaphone, and 3 You need a 3G phone to use the 3 Network. If I had one of those, it would have been the best deal since you can make calls for free between other phones on the 3 Network in Australia, even if they have foreign numbers. Unfortunately, my phone is only quad band, so it won't work with 3. On Elizabeth road, each of the main carriers has their possess store. every of them have similar service called CAPS: charge some amount for the SIM card (3 & vodaphone: $10; Telstra: $2; Optra: 0). Charge some amount to put credit on the phone: $30. Tell the customer that for their $30 they are actually being given them about $150 worth of credit ($140 with Optra and ballpark $92 with Telstra). Ahhhh, but then they charge outrageous 80 cents per minute for domestic phone calls (billed per minute), and a $.35 connection fee ($.30 for Telstra, 3) Some stores have special agreements wtih select carriers where they don't charge for the SIM card (such as Woolworth/Safeway with Vodaphone). Carriers are supposed to require a passport or Australian driver's license. Enforcement is spotty however. I encountered one store where a credit card would suffice. At another store, they said it would be OK without the passport. In the end, Optra was the best deal for me: For $30 dollars I receive an Australian number good for one month (CAPS generally means that the credit duration is severely limited) and the ability to make about 120 minutes of local one minute calls.

Open Question: Does individual struggle, lead to personal growth and strength?

I know these are bad examples, but I'm a history student so give me a break. Russia was repeatedly beaten throughout history. Stalin said this about it: " "One feature of the history of old Russia was the continual beatings she suffered because of her backwardness. She was beaten by the Mongol khans. She was beaten by the Turkish beys. She was beaten by the Swedish feudal lords. She was beaten by the Polish and Lithuanian gentry. She was beaten by the British and French capitalists. She was beaten by the Japanese barons. every beat her because of her backwardness, military backwardness, cultural backwardness, political backwardness, industrial backwardness, agricultural backwardness. They beat her because to do so was profitable and could be done with impunity. That is why we must no longer lag behind. We are fifty or a hundred years behind the advanced countries. We must make good this distance in ten years. Either we do it, or we shall be crushed." - Joseph Stalin." After this process, the Soviet Union became a superpower. Another example would be Adolf Hitler. He struggled on his possess in Vienna for many years, internally, before embarking on the path which led to him becoming strong and holding supreme power over 100's of millions of people and beginning a war which shook the world. So, with this in mind, does personal struggle guide to growth and power?

Open Question: I want to visit Europe in the summer, where should I go?

I am 22 years old and I am looking for a place to visit in Europe because I would like to live somewhere in Europe after I graduate. I was thinking about visiting Vienna or Berlin but only because I have no idea of where to go and I know people that have been there. A town with places for my age range would make my experience a lot better. I'm looking for a mid to high populated town. It would also be chilly if I learned some foreign language while visiting, so anything other than English and Spanish is a plus. It must be gay friendly. The gayer the better :) I think this is a difficult question to answer because it depends a lot on taste but please drop in some of your knowledge! Some more details: I would like to go someplace safe, without a lot of crime. I went to Paris over the summer but it was very difficult to find guys my possess age in the main bars, mostly +27. The main reason I want to go is a place that I like enough so that I can live there afterward. I look for gay friendly, another language, nice people, nice of big (so that it has good night life, historical sights, and lets me to lose myself in the crowd), intelligent people, and of course, pretty boys :P I found Germans and Parisians very nice people.

Also is there really a significant difference btw the vienna 1 and 3 (the 3 is more expensive but I am not sure if i need the more expensive bike). Thanks!

Open Question: Are you excited about the upcoming Windows 7 ( After Vista )?

According to many videos and reviews, I actually think it is nothing but a "wanna be" mac . As it now has the multi-touch screen ability, Here's a video Microsoft won't like to look: http://in.youtube.com/watch?v=d0aS5t222_4 _____________________________info__________________ Windows 7 (formerly codenamed Blackcomb and Vienna) is the next release of Microsoft Windows, an operating system produced by Microsoft for use on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, Tablet PCs, and media middle PCs.[1] Microsoft stated in 2007 that it is planning Windows 7 development for a three-year time frame starting after the release of its predecessor, Windows Vista, but that the final release date will be determined by product quality.[2] Unlike its predecessor, Windows 7 is intended to be an incremental upgrade with the goal of being fully compatible with existing device drivers, applications and hardware.[3] Presentations given by the company in 2008 have focused on multi-touch support, a redesigned Windows Shell with a new taskbar, a home networking system called HomeGroup,[4] and performance improvements. Some applications that have been included with prior releases of Microsoft Windows, most notably Windows Mail, Windows Movie Maker and Windows Photo Gallery, are no longer included with the operating system; they are instead offered separately as part of the Windows Live Essentials suite.[5] ________________________________________________ Thanks and have a nice day! -- -- -- -- If you need the Pre beta release by Microsoft which was distributed by Microsoft , ask me, i would be glad to share. Open Question: Any English Angora breeders willing to help out a newbie?

I am new to the world of English Angoras. I knew I wanted to receive one as a pet, but after talking to the breeder more I decided breeding would be a great little hobby. So I purchased my male and female (they are both 6 months old and have not yet been bred). I have done a lot of reading and know the basics. But the thing I don't really understand is the "standard", color genetics, and things that would make up a "quality" angora. Personally, comparing my doe to the standard everything seems ok. The breeder said she is a vienna marked fawn. But every vienna marked angora that I have seen has only a white spot on the nose. Hers extends up behind her ears but nice of breaks into a C pattern on her forehead. She also has places on her body that look really fawn, but some that are lighter...almost a cream. Could she actually be a broken pattern? It every blends really well, and doesn't have distinct broken markings on her body. But there are patches that seem to be darker than others. She does have a lot of BEWs in her pedigree. My only thing with my buck is it seems that one of his ears lops over. However he will occasionally have them stand in a straight V. I think he's just lazy. lol They were both somewhat clip down I think, so wool length is difficult to determine. The breeder has "show quality" rabbits, but doesn't show and doesn't seem to think much of people who do. So I'd like to be able to talk to someone who can nice of point me in the right direction with things and answer the questions I have. Right now I'm only breeding for pet purposes anyway until I receive good at this whole thing. I wouldn't be able to tell someone if the rabbit was show quality if they held me at gunpoint. lol But eventually I'd like to know if a show quality rabbit comes my way that it's a show quality rabbit. I really want to do things right. Putting out a litter or two of pet quality bunnies who are wanted by pet homes is one thing. But I wouldn't want to do it repeatedly, and would eventually like to receive really good breeding stock. I'm just not sure if mine are or not. I've never shown anything in my life. every of the shows around here are at the very least 2 1/2 hours away. I wouldn't have any problem driving to one if I knew I wouldn't be TOTALLY laughed out of the show ring. lol There really aren't any angora breeders in my area. I had to steer 2 hours to pick up the ones I have, and that was the closest one I could find. Any info would be appreciated!

I forgot the name of this book. It is sort of similar to the where's waldo books. The book is a picture/maze book. We play as different people through out history, like Homer, Abe Lincoln, Mozart, Cleopatra, neil Armstrong, and Marco polo. On each page their is a different map, in a different location through time. Egypt, Norway,Space, Vienna, and places like that. The goal of the game is to pick a character and collect their three missing items then travel back to their proper map. I remember playing it a few years ago, but i don't remember the title of it.

Resolved Question: Is this waste of human excrement a case of why the Death Penalty should be used? Read on->?

Austrian incest dad Fritzl charged with murder VIENNA, Austria – Prosecutors filed a murder charge Thursday against the man accused of imprisoning his daughter for 24 years in a rat-infested cell and fathering her seven kids, saying one of the youngsters who died in infancy might have survived if brought to a doctor. Josef Fritzl "deliberately decided not to intervene" and keep the baby boy's life, said the indictment, which also charges the 73-year-old retired electrician with rape, incest, untrue imprisonment and enslavement. Officials said they expected Fritzl to go on trial in March. He faces up to life imprisonment if convicted of the murder charge. Austria, like other European countries, does not have the death penalty. Fritzl's lawyer, Rudolf Mayer, told reporters he would not appeal the charges. Investigators say Fritzl has confessed to imprisoning and repeatedly raping his daughter Elisabeth — now age 42 — in a warren of soundproofed, windowless cellar rooms he built beneath his home starting in 1984, shortly after she turned 18. relax of the story is on this link if u want to read the relax. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081113/ap_on_re_eu/eu_austria_captive_daughter I knew of this story already Loho. trash like him deserve to suffer the worst death possible. I began to talk like a Jew. I think I may well be a Jew. The snows of the Tyrol, the clear beer of Vienna Are not very pure or true. With my gipsy ancestress and my weird luck And my Taroc pack and my Taroc pack I may be a bit of a Jew. I have always been scared of you, With your Luftwaffe, your gobbledygoo. And your neat mustache And your Aryan eye, bright blue. Panzer-man, panzer-man, O You-- Not God but a swastika So black no sky could squeak through. Every lady adores a Fascist, The boot in the face, the brute Brute heart of a brute like you. You stand at the blackboard, daddy, In the picture I have of you, A cleft in your chin instead of your foot But no less a devil for that, no not Any less the black man who Bit my pretty red heart in two. I was ten when they buried you. At twenty I tried to die And receive back, back, back to you. I thought even the bones would do. But they pulled me out of the bag, And they stuck me together with glue. And then I knew what to do. I made a model of you, A man in black with a Meinkampf look And a adore of the rack and the screw. And I said I do, I do. So daddy, I'm finally through. The black telephone's off at the root, The voices just can't worm through. If I've killed one man, I've killed two-- The vampire who said he was you And drank my blood for a year, Seven years, if you want to know. Daddy, you can lie back now. There's a stake in your fat black heart And the villagers never liked you. They are dancing and stamping on you. They always knew it was you. Daddy, daddy, you bastard, I'm through."

Resolved Question: Would you ever base your honeymoon off of your favorite romantic book/movie?

For example: -A Jane Austen Book tour (if your fiance could sit through it lol) -A summer country club camp like Dirty Dancing -An inn in Notting Hill (aka the movie Notting Hill) I personally wouldn't base my whole honeymoon off of it, but we were thinking of backpacking Europe, and if we decide to visit Vienna, I was going to convince him to cease at some of the major sites from the movie Before Sunrise, which is one of my every-time fave romantic films.
